We are excited to introduce Instant Pay in Online and Mobile Banking! This is a simple and quick way to transfer funds between your AAGCU and external accounts.

What is Instant Pay?

Instant Pay is a real-time transfer solution that allows you to move funds between your accounts at AAGCU and other participating financial institutions.

Facilitated through the Federal Reserve FedNow (R) Service, this is a secure and easy way to transfer and settle funds in seconds.

Please note, Only financial institutions that participate in the FedNow ® Service will be eligible for Instant Pay transactions. View the list of participating institutions here: fednow-live-participants.xlsx. If a financial institution does not participate, you can add them as a Payee and transfer through the Pay Bills tab.

Protect yourself from scams

Instant Pay is an incredibly secure way to transfer funds, however it is still important to make sure you are remaining diligent to protect yourself from fraudsters.

Do not share your OTP with anyone. We will never ask for this information.
Only send funds to people you know. Fraudsters can impersonate trusted people, businesses, or even financial institutions. If something seems off, call AAGCU at 206.824.9800 as soon as possble.
If you think you may be a victim of a scam, call AAGCU at 206.824.9800.

When using Instant Pay, once the funds are sent, the transfer cannot be cancelled and the funds cannot be recouped. Be sure that you are following these steps to protect yourself from scams.

FAQs

Does my other financial institution participate?

This is still a fairly new product, so the list of participating financial institutions is still growing. Check the list provided by the Federal Reserve to see if your other financial institutions are eligible for Instant Pay transfers.

If I accidentally make a transfer, can I cancel or reverse it?

No, once you select “Confirm Transfer” , the transfer cannot be cancelled and funds cannot be recouped. Verify the recipient information PRIOR to confirming the transfer. Beware of scams. Only send money to people you know. If you fear you may be a victim of a scam, call AAGCU at 206-824-9800 BEFORE initiating a transfer.

Are there fees to use Instant Pay?

Nope! Alaska Air Group Credit Union does not charge fees to send funds from your AAGCU account or to receive funds from other financial institutions into your AAGCU account.

How do I access Instant Pay?

Log into Online or Mobile Banking, navigate to the Transfers tab, and select the Instant Pay icon. View our How-to guide for step-by-step instructions with images.

Can I still use Bill Pay?

Yes! The addition of Instant Pay does not impact Bill Pay.

How long will the transfer take to go through?

The transfers are typically completed within 30 seconds, however ocassionally they need additional review time for a number of factors. You will recieve a text or email to inform you the status of your transfer depending on the Alert Preferences you have selected.

Where do I view my previous Instant Pay transfers?

Currently, this functionaity is only available in Online Banking. Navigate to the Transfers tab, and select the “Instant Pay Transaction History” tile.
