You may have seen our Station Stickers around, but do you know the background of them? Here’s a quick guide to our famous Station Stickers.
When were the stickers launched?
We launched our first stickers in January 2024, with SEA and ANC, with the intent of being a fun, new swag item for our members and to help us engage with the stations more.
How are the stickers made?
Each sticker is made by hand and in-house by our marketing team of two. Our marketing team researches each station, learning the ins and outs of the city and cultural landmarks that make up the station. Using those elements, our team works their creative and graphic design magic to create a unique sticker that encapsulates the individuality of each station it represents.
Which stations are recognized?
We started with the larger Alaska Air Group hubs (i.e. ANC, SEA, PHX, BOI, LAX), but felt the smaller stations should be equally recognized. We want to showcase our dedication to all stations, and are happy to have stickers ranging all the way from Bethel, AK to Medford, OR.
How many stickers do you have?
As of February 2025, we have 18 stickers actively launched across our branches with more in the works now!
How can I get the stickers?
Our stickers are always available in the SEA and ANC branches. For every new station design, we send a batch to the station recognized. If you’re not local, you can participate in our Facebook giveaways prior to new sticker releases to be sent the collection for free!
Are the stickers available forever?
With our ever-growing collection, we aren’t able to keep all designs around forever. We will keep our Alaska Airlines Hub collection full time, and retain some of the more popular releases(ANC, SEA, BOI, PHX, SAN, PDX, LAX, SFO, JNU). However, most stations will become limited edition releases, so get them while you can!
How has this project grown?
In addition to the popularity among our members, this project has become well-loved throughout Alaska Air Group. It has even led to invitations to attend the Alaska Airlines “Care-A-Van” events. These events have been taking place across different stations, where AAG bring swag and catered meals to the employees. We have been able to attend 10 of these events so far, with more in the future. Before attending, we design stickers that coincide with the Care-a-Van station events, leading to a better partnership with AAG, increased awareness of the credit union at stations visited, and excitement amongst the stations to see their bespoke sticker design.
Final thoughts
Beginning as a fun new swag item for our members, this project has grown to be well-known and well-loved by our members, throughout Alaska Air Group, and internally with employees and our board members.
